Everything has changed in the way I’m seeing how to spend a day when I’m looking for my place. Baby baby let’s remember fleeting moments before they’re gone.
And it happens anyway, anyway. One way or another light gets in, in. Yeah time has a way, has a way of slipping away.
Baby baby don’t you know that this is how it goes now I will never slow down. Baby baby don’t you wait up night can’t be relied on it can swallow time up. Maybe later I will come by, please don’t leave a light on it’s a waste of hydro. Baby baby don’t you know that this is how it goes now time will never slow down.
Still it happens anyway, anyway. One way or another light gets in, in. Yeah time has a way, has a way of making it better.

And how do you think we're gonna cross the water's rising
And how do you think we're gonna cross the water's rising
And we're throwing stones over a growing vista
And the distance grows faster than we can keep up with it
Distorted reflection
A broken connection
Distorted reflection
A broken connection
Go ahead and keep pretending
Go ahead and keep pretending
And we're throwing stones over a growing vista
Distorted reflection
A broken connection
Distorted reflection
A broken connection
Go ahead and keep pretending
Go ahead and keep pretending

What are you thinking now
What are you thinking now
What are you thinking now
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Rock 4eva
Rock 4eva
Do you, do you, do you, do you
Ow
He said he wanted it a little rough
Ow
Oh, dear
Not again
Oh, no
Not you again
Oh, my goodness
Did you say
You're mysterious
You're mysterious like a mystery
Oh, my goodness
Did you see what I saw
Are you ready for it
Are you ready for it
Drip it down, drip it down, make me feel loud
Drip it down, drip it down, make me do sound
Drip it down my body, baby, make me proud
Your body, your heart, you're hot, your body
Your body, your heart, you're hot, your body
Make me feel fine

Street lights headlights smoke lights blinking
None of us thinking straight
First warm night here after seven months
Everybody out looking for a chance to take
Women downtown from the small towns, they're riding for it
The kids lined up for the last bus, they're riding for it
And I see you off in the smoke of the smoke machine
Your eyes are flashing
Hair slicked back your clothes all black like a late stage Johnny Cash
And I see your mouth is moving, arms are moving, legs are moving, you move in close
That one song comes on hard
So loud that I stop, you stop
I lean in slow and say I think maybe the City got it right this time
The music, the strangers, the hope for something more
More than pulling on your coat and telling your friends goodnight
Maybe someone finally saying - no you don’t
People say...
No, I say that you need that one night out
One night not thinking about not working
Four, five, six hours as yourself
Friends out taking some chances
Wearing some colour, put some makeup on
We talking, laughing, drinking, dancing
Saying what you mean for once
And people with no style, out riding for it
Their jacked-up mat-black trucks, out riding for it
Radio blasting, cast miscasted, random, badly timed
No CPSD
No HD-CCTV on the line up outside
You think well shit, maybe the City got it right this time
The music, the strangers, the hope for something more
More than pulling on your coat and telling your friends goodnight
Maybe someone finally saying - no you don’t

I can see it that you're here now
But to me, you might as well have gone out
For cigarettes I've never seen you smoke
I smell them and I choke
You're so secretive, what is there to know
Don't go
I love the tar, I hate the dark
We should be far from where we are
Why can't we go? Why won't you show me
I think you owe me
Blink if you're in danger
You can tell me if it's major
Pressure built until you say it
But you spew at me some hatred coming out the gate like
Oh no
Don't go
I hold on tight to my last hope It slithers up my wrist like rope
I smell that cigarette you smoked What is there to know
Don't go
I love the tar, I hate the dark
We should be far from where we are
Why can't we go? Why won't you show me
I think you know I think you owe me
Don't you love me? Don't you trust me
Don't you love me

Suddenly, the world is a snow globe
Swirling and shaken, and turned upside down
It's all we can do, to stare out the window
Sinking into silent sound
Something come through right now
Dream of the old times
Sacred and sublime
Sheltered state
Babe, can you lead me
To our sacred place
Say you'll lead me
To Sayulita
Say you will, don't say you won't
I wanna see ya
Shine like a seashell
In the white sand glitter gold
My winter rest
For a summer dress
And an evening sunset
Say you'll lead me
To Sayulita
Say you will, don't say you won't
Say you'll lead me
To Sayulita
Say you will, don't say you won't
Say you'll lead me
To Sayulita
Say you will, don't say you won't

She's smooth like chocolate She's smooth like chocolate
She works it, she works it She's smooth like chocolate
She works it, she works it She's smooth like chocolate
She works it, she works it She's smooth like chocolate
She works it, she works it She's smooth like chocolate
You want my body, but you wanna fuckin' say, goodbye
You want my body, but you wanna fuckin' say, goodbye
She's smooth like chocolate
Light sparkles in my eyes, they sparkle really far Light sparkles in my eyes, they sparkle really far
You think I'm cute, I know, cause it is fuckin' true And when I think of you, baby, baby, baby
She's smooth like chocolate
The lights are shinin' so bright, they're shinin' so bright They're fallin' through my eyes, I wanna think I wanna die
Then I feel my body and it warms up again Then I want to be inside, shaking that ass
You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you and me, you, and me, are gonna be
Like chocolate
You're smooth like chocolate
Beatin' in my heart
Beatin' in my body
You're smooth like chocolate
Beatin' in my body
Beatin' in my heart
Beatin' in my body
Beatin' in my heart
Beatin' in my body
Beatin' in my heart
Beatin' in my body
She's smooth like chocolate
Right there

“Collaborations” features music by Cookie Delicious with lyrics and vocals from pals in the Winnipeg music community. It was born out of Song Every Week workshops hosted online by Natalie Bohrn throughout ye olde pandy. I made the jams, and invited friends to collaborate with their lyrics and vocals. As my old friend Heath used to say, “It’s simple, we kill the batman.”
